| 3 | You are a City Girl Portland is really amazing. It’s becoming more of a “Big City
Shopping Experience!” What woman doesn’t want to pack her designer
bags and go to New York or L.A. and shop til she drops? Fashion Boutiques
can’t be beat on Madison Avenue in The Big Apple or Rodeo Drive in West
Hollywood. There’s Henri Bendels, Scoop, NYC, Fred Segals…. Shall
we go on? And now WE have City Girl, the shop that defines itself by these
icons and carries the most fabulous Portland Picks we’ve seen. The shop is so yummy, pink, flowery, cool. We dare you not to fall in love with everything! |

| 4 | Now you can get youthful skin without looking like "mommy-you-tied-my-ponytail-too-tight.” We are all willing to do just about anything for youthful looking skin.
In fact, we are willing to spend any amount of money if it guaranteed real
results. Our sink looks like a professional stylist’s with all the products
we’ve tried but that didn’t make the grade, a reminder of just
how much money we’ve wasted. But one thing we do know that works, one
simple word that beats the infomercial or department store products: a dermatologist.
The prescription skincare products that you get from a dermatologist really
do work. Providence Medical Group |

| 5 | Girl’s Only We reluctantly accepted a complimentary in-home foot treatment. Once we got past our modesty, well okay, humiliation, at undressing and exposing our nakey feet, we were able to relax and enjoy. (Though we continued to apologize every minute or so.) We are not modest, except when it comes to our feet. Forget trying on clothes, to try on shoes you’ll find us in the changing room. We felt so sorry for her, that she actually had to touch them. Eww. But she crossed her heart she had seen worse, so we dove in, he he, feet first. Introducing Kate. Kate is amazing. She will come to your home and do the most delicious reflexology or massage treatment on those feetsies of yours. The treatment is beyond belief relief, and something you, Princess, deserve on a regular basis. We love her! She eased pressure in our back that we have spent years knotting. Kate Wadhams practices reflexology and massage in her home and in the homes of her clients. Reflexology works on the premise that the bottom of the feet are like mini-maps to the body; apply pressure to a specific area and the corresponding body part is stimulated, along with the entire nervous system, helping improve circulation and achieve internal balance. Whether we’re footloose and fancy free or have our feet firmly planted on the ground, our heels, arches and toes may tell more about us than we think. The 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments and 19 muscles in each foot carry the rest of the body’s weight. With thousands of nerve endings, they are a mirror of our general health. Your foot is your foundation, as the roots of a tree....so embrace them! You can contact Kate at 503-319-2807 or email For more information on reflexology, visit www.evergreenhealing.net |

| 6 | In the Bag Janny Downey has launched a fabulous new bag collection under the label Minou-Minou, the same label she designed high-end children’s clothes for many years. After earning her undergrad degree in the states, Janny moved to Paris to receive her degree from La Chambre Syndicale De La Couture Parisienne, the world’s highly noted school of Haute Couture. After stints at Christian LaCroix & Chanel Haute Couture, she returned to Portland to launch her own line of children’s wear. Three kids later, she met another Mom who just so happened to be a very talented textile designer, and after coffee at Starbucks and a few small swatches she was inspired to create these great bags! These bags provide an original, practical solution for the "mom who was a fashionista in her previous life." Still, while the designs are fashionable, there’s nothing over-the-top about these colorful, everyday bags. Each bag is hand crafted in a limited edition of 250 pieces per fabric/style combination. Attention is given to each and every bag, created in her small Parisian Atelier, which happens to be located in Portland, Oregon. Most of her fabrics come from Europe and are absolutely exquisite. They are trimmed in leather, lined with waterproof breathable fabric and have that hand made quality that is so hard to find. It’s like having a couture bag at a ready-to-wear price. Minou-Minou TM bags can be seen in Portland at Mimi & Lena’s, 1914 NE Broadway and in Seattle at Bohemian Dezigns 1501 Pike Place #521, in the Pike Place Market. |

| 7 | Stop and Taste the Chocolate: Hand made Chocolate A chocolate a day, real chocolate, keeps the doctor away. Plus it’s just such an indulgent treat, a reward you are so worthy of. But it has to be the best. (Only the best for the best will do). And we’ve found a local girl who makes chocolate with your name on it! Chocolate so creamy, so dreamy, so perfect that it will seduce you; an experience with deeper flavor and visual beauty a meltingly heart-stopping tongue pleaser! Elizabeth Montes started making chocolates nearly ten years ago as gifts for her friends and family. In early 2001, Montes began selling her chocolate morsels at the Portland Farmer’s Market, a place she soon found to be a fresh foods paradise offering indeed the best of the Northwest. She uses real spices, seasonal herbs and fresh fruit flavors to create pure tastes, along with hormone-free Oregon cream, all delicately painted with a dazzling burst of confectionary luster. It is her wish that chocolate will compel us to stop for a moment and will show us that an already blissful experience can be made even lovelier when we pay attention to this little mystery we all love in its mass produced humble state. Stop and smell the roses, and then taste the chocolate. |

| 9 | Your Clock is Ticking We have discovered Tick Tock Clocks in Portland made from vintage children’s books, usually "Golden Books" and "Wonder Books" that a lot of us grew up reading. They can be found at "The Paper Garden" for $29 or through Tick Tock Clock’s directly for $25 and they make a great, rare and unique shower gift. They will also take a book that is special to a grandparent, parent or child and customize a clock as a keepsake. They are great for a baby shower gift and they come wrapped very nicely with a battery included. The cost of this when you provide the book is $20. They don’t have to be baby books, either.... a favorite cookbook, gardening book, etc. works, too! Tick Tock Clocks can also make clocks out of old album covers which is great for those "Led Zeppelin" fans who like to relive their glory days. Or, for older (our parents -- shhh) who want to display an Elvis Album in an office. It’s a great gift idea for Father’s Day. AND, they also make them out of old game boxes (twister, scrabble, etc.) for a game or party room. The sky is the limit! For more information or to purchase: email ticktockclocks@verizon.net. |

| 2 | Wax strips After you get your itty, bitty string bikini with your monogram, make sure you are well waxed for heaven’s sake before you strut yourself in public. | 3 | Leaving Las Vegas After Vegas, and the big scary birthday, you should have seen the airplane of passengers LEAVING Las Vegas. Just not quite the same as the bright eyed bushy tailed GOING to Las Vegas. It was very telling. But not us. No, we “experienced” Las Vegas for the scary birthday but you couldn’t tell when we left...because we used famous Tracie Martyn’s Lotus Sculpt for a quick fix that left our tired eyes in Vegas Baby (what happens there stays there you know). And sometimes it’s all about faking it (even though we slept the whole way home. Shhhhhh.) Tracie Martyn’s Lotus Sculpt |

| 4 | Don’t Let it All Hang Out Summer’s here and so are the tanks and halters. But nothing looks worse than a loose bra strap hanging out, going braless when you probably shouldn’t, or feeling self conscious with no boobs at all (that’s us!) Save your money on that lift you were thinking of and pick up Nu Bra. They stick to your breasts, no straps, providing smooth and attractive support. You can even get them with a little lift and cleavage. And they look and feel like the real thing. They can be washed over and over and the adhesive continues to work. These are truly amazing! |

And you can design your own. We can pick one and customize it to our liking and wha-lah! These are us. And we remain footloose and fancy free in our nakey Nike’s. And you can too. |
