Step Up with Washington Square
Women Helping Women

There is more to Mother’s Day than thinking of your own mama (though she is extra-special), and Washington Square invites you to consider what other families might be going through.

Just before Mother’s Day, on Thursday, May 8, Washington Square is joining with all Macerich centers across the country in the company’s single-largest collective community event, where Step Out Step Up will introduce Macerich’s new partnership with Step Up Women’s Network. 

This is a special day! We encourage you to volunteer—and gather together to feel good while doing good.  Join Washington Square to assemble 500 “wellness bags” for local female cancer patients, and enjoy a spirit of camaraderie with your peers. Volunteers will be treated to a continental breakfast and “wellness” workshops. 

To deliver the kits to the women who need them most, Washington Square is also teaming up with Breast Friends. 

Concerned about having the kiddos in tow? No worries! Mother Goose will be on hand to help keep little ones entertained.
