It’s Time for Pumpkins in the Village!
Join Bridgeport Village as Local Artists Carve Giant Pumpkins
All for a good cause!

Giant Pumpkins will take over Bridgeport Village shopping center from Oct. 27-31 to help raise funds for a local nonprofit, Kids on the Block. It’s an extravaganza of Halloween fun for the entire family!

This second annual Pumpkins in the Village event will bring a dozen local artists and master carvers to Bridgeport Village on Saturday, Oct. 27.  The regionally renowned artists will carve giant pumpkins (approximately 500-1,100 lbs. each!) from 12-5 pm, competing to see whose design and carving skills are the best!

Vote for your favorite pumpkin by placing a donation to Kids on the Block in the donation boxes by each carved pumpkin.  The giant works of art will stay on display—and up for votes—around the center through Halloween night, Oct. 31.

But there’s so much more to do!

• Purchase a raffle ticket, with a chance to win a professionally carved giant pumpkin of your own, along with other great Halloween gifts.
• Story Time with Kids on the Block puppets under the gazebo.
• Local area landscape artists and nurseries will augment the giant pumpkin displays with festive fall gardenscapes surrounding the installations.
• On Oct. 31, enter a costume contest at The Find, Bridgeport ’s newest store, featuring unique and high quality holiday décor and gifts.  (Located beside Via Lago.)
• Trick-or-Treating at the “Street of Treats” on Oct. 31 from 4-9 pm.  Join Radio Disney AM 1640 at participating stores and services.
